Questions You Might Have – I’m Here to Help

Starting therapy or considering it can bring up a lot of questions. Below are some answers to common questions I hear from clients. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to talk!

How do I know if therapy is right for me?2025-05-20T16:10:31+00:00

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or want to explore personal growth, therapy can be a valuable resource. I’m here to help you figure out what might work best for you.

What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?2025-05-30T15:14:28+00:00

That’s completely normal! Many people feel nervous. I aim to create a compassionate, comfortable space where you can feel safe to share at your own pace.

Where is your office located?2025-05-30T15:14:51+00:00

It’s virtual so we can meet from the comfort of your home, your mobile phone on your lunch break, or anywhere that works for you.

What should I expect in my first therapy session?2025-05-20T16:08:51+00:00

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, discuss what brought you to therapy, and explore your goals. It’s a safe, judgment-free space where your story matters.

How long does therapy usually last?2025-05-20T16:09:27+00:00

Therapy length varies depending on your goals and needs. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll discuss this together.

How long are your sessions?2025-05-20T16:09:55+00:00

Sessions are 50-55 minutes in length. We are able to have longer sessions if you prefer. I recommend an hour and 45-minute session for couples in their initial appointment.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?2025-05-20T16:13:09+00:00

Yes! I provide telehealth therapy to clients in Florida and many other states that accept telehealth services.

What happens if I miss a session2025-05-30T15:15:50+00:00

Life happens and unpreventable situations pop-up. As a mom, I understand how unpredictable life can be. You can cancel your session up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time. This allows me the ability to offer your newly available slot to someone on my waiting list. I offer one excused cancellation just in case of emergency. If the session isn’t cancelled prior, you will be charged a cancellation fee (standard rate of session).

Do you offer zoom or phone sessions?2025-05-20T16:14:09+00:00

I absolutely do!

How can therapy help?2025-05-20T16:14:35+00:00

I will play an active role in facilitating an environment that is goal oriented so you feel progress with each session. My goal for all of my clients is to feel empowered toward the changes you are seeking in your life through growth and healing. We are together in this process!

What is your standard session rate?2025-05-20T16:15:15+00:00

My standard rate for individual therapy is $150 for individuals and $200 for couples. I do hold two sliding scale slots for individuals who qualify for a lowered rate of service. I provide a superbill as well as work with Mentaya to assist in reimbursement from your insurance company.

How can I ask you more questions about the therapy process?2025-05-20T16:15:41+00:00

I offer a 15 minute consultation free of charge prior to scheduling a session and would be happy to answer any questions you have then!
